It's been so long 'Hello October'

It's the middle of October and I realised I hadn't blogged since Summer! The last few months have been pretty crazy and I started working full time recently which is making me feel like I have no social life or me time at all. I'm hoping I will be able to adjust soon and be able to do the things I love again out of work like going to the gym, spending time with my boyfriend, shopping and seeing my family. All these things were so easy to do before and now I just feel drained and a tinsy bit down about it but I know its early days and everything will work out.

When October came I did a huge clean out of my closet as I didn't like or wear most of the items I'd been holding onto for years. I thought new job, new wardrobe! But I won't be splurging when pay day comes around as I want to get my driving lessons and also saving up for Christmas! I think this year I'm going to start shopping for presents early November so then it's less stressful and kind to my purse.

So... Onto what I'm loving so far this month. I could seriously go mad on make-up which reminds me I need to get my HG Nars Laguna bronzer again... fave for the past 2 years! I have got my eye on the Urban Decay ammo palette I think the colours are gorgeous and they look a lot more exciting than my Naked eye palette. I'm not sure whether to ask for this for xmas or treat myself yet.

Tonight I had been browsing shops online and I have put some outfits together that caught my eye there's a bit of a mix from Topshop and Hollister... the first two outfits I'd wear on a daily basis and the third is for a more classy, girlie, day look : )

I particularly love the red top and brown riding boots, perfect for Autumn.

                                                             Urban decay Ammo palette.

I know this is a short post but you can definitely expect more from me. I have quite a few ideas for posts and reviews so do keep checking your news feed ;) I've got a new camera so I'm hoping that I will be able to make my blog more personal by having lots of my own photos. Fingers crossed they will be good quality or at least better than my old phone ones.
I hope your all having a lovely weekend, I'm currently relaxing with my cat and going to catch up on the Vampire Diaries oooh exciting!

Ciao for now

Summer bits & bobs

A small mix of different items that are right at the top of my wish list right now. I absolutely love the skirt but as I'm saving for my holiday and exam fees, it is quite pricey at £37. I really want it but I will just have to be careful with my money. I plan on buying lots of holiday clothes from H&M this year, I love it in there and are not so costly. The bag is a dream as of now and the ray bans I'm looking for a similar pair but at a lower price.

Bikinis I have been really disappointed with the ranges in shops this year. I feel like they think no girl has boobs! Very pretty but mostly all I've seen have been bandeau's. I have been slacking with my summer body plan and do need to exercise and eat more healthy as I have found a lovely bikini in the Geri Halliwell collection at Next, its gorgeous, light blue and floral. But it does seem to cling to my love handles so lots of running is on my agenda for the next 7 weeks! Ahhhh.

Hope you are all well. Now I plan to relax all night cuddled up in bed, catching up on pretty little liars and blogs. Oh and here's a little exciting news I'm going to see The Saturdays tour in December! Cannot wait :D

Have a good night!

My favourite Saturday ♡

♡  Mollie King ♡

Well... this isn't a secret for those that know me, but I think Mollie from The Saturdays is amazing and I love her! I'm not usually a big fan of pop bands and usually take no interest and listen to a wide range of music but The SATURDAYS I just love, girlie and good sing-alongs. Its like when I was in my young teens and I was Reese Witherspoon's biggest fan ( to me I am haha), obsessed with legally blonde scrap books, posters, movies the lot! & That's how excited I get when anything is Mollie related... it maybe sad, but makes me very happy! She's always glamorous, stylish and bubbly she's the perfect idol and truly inspires me. I have heard today that the tour dates have been leaked and they are perfoming in December. I can't wait to get hold of the tickets, hopefully I will be able to get them as there is only one date available for Manchester. I can't wait to see Mollie, I think it will be a surreal experience but so exciting! I'm bringing my boyfriend along with me as I am going to batman live with him so it's fair, he will love it haha.

Seventeen Fitness Issue

This is for all of the Nina Dobrev fans!
I hope I can get this issue but I'm not sure whether we'll be able to get it in the UK.
Nina is my favourite, she's effortlessly gorgeous and I am rather jealous of her long hair, figure and blah, blah, blah! This week I've consumed about 90% junk food and not done much exercise apart from a bit of golf! I really need to become active and stop being so lazy! And as Nina says 'have a lazy run, not like a planned run, a fun run!'

OOTD: The Floral Playsuit

Today I am wearing an outfit I bought yesterday and I though lets do a OOTD post. Tbh I rarely  take pictures for my blog and I really want too, basically my bedroom is my boys room and so the background just isn't me so I had been avoiding pics, my old room was pink and had pretty wallpaper and It would of been perfect for pics but that house had just been sold. I have currently been living with my boyfriend and his family for about a year and a half and we can't wait to get saving and find a place together, its just so expensive to move out these days!

I spent the day in Manchester with my boyfriend we went shopping, chiquitos and the cinema to watch 'Something Borrowed'. It was on of the best days I've had in a long time. The film I think all girls should go and see even with boyfriends! It was soo cute and funny, all I want to do now is read the books and see if its different from the movie. I know in the future it will be one of those movies that I'm going to watch over and over again. Last night was fun too, we went round a friend and his girlfriends and we had some drinks, played board games and attempted to watch Buried, it was too slow though so we gave up within half an hour in. Tonight I think I'm just going to relax watch TV, snack and test out my Lush Cupcake face mask... can't wait I hope it does wonders for my skin  haha if it doesn't well at least I'll smell yummy (thinking of doing a review!). Tomorrows plans are be lazy, snuggle and enjoy being alone together, as were getting a free house for the week starting Sunday so yay!

The Floral Playsuit (& coral bag)

Jumpsuit - H&M
Bag - Primark (the picture isn't true to colour but its a salmon/coral colour)
Ring - Primark
Cardigan - Primark ...(gosh i really must love it in there! haha)

Have a great Saturday and thanks so much for reading!

Dannie.

Monday 25 April 2011

Hi, my name is DANNIE

Hi, my name is Dannie and I thought I would do this for you so you can get to know me a little better :)

Never in my life have I been: bungee jumping.

The one person who can drive me nuts is: Paul, but he makes everything better too!

High school: was really bad for me, now its just a part of my past. forgotten.

When I’m nervous: I can sometimes have panic attacks or slur and stutter when i speak.

The last song I listened to was: who says - selena gomez.

If I were to get married right now my best man/maid of honor: my sister.

My hair is: brown but i always seem to think it has an auburn tone which annoys me as I want natural brown. I've been growing it for over a year and its quite long but in need of a trim!

How tall are you: I'm 5ft3, I would like to be a couple more inches taller but oh well.

Last Christmas: went quickly, my favourite holiday but it has changed a lot over the last few years, now its travelling to each parent who to be with on which night and blah...

I should be: doing homework and preparing for going back to college tomorrow.

The happiest recent event was: in February, me and my boyfriend went to the Lake District for the weekend for to celebrate my 20th birthday and our 2nd year anniversary. It was lovely.

By this time next year: I have no idea. Hopefully in a full time job. Driving. Saving enough to move out.

There’s this boy I know that: I'm going to marry someday.

I like you when: you care and tell the truth.

The world could do without: heartache and war.

Most recent thing I’ve bought myself: Blue moon nail polish by Barry M and some snacks.

Most recent thing someone else bought me: Easter egg.

My middle name is: I don't have one.

The animals I would like to see flying besides birds are: cats, of course I want to be one in the next life so it would be pretty cool if they could fly too haha.

Once, at a bar: I was younger and got told I looked like Rosie from Corrie, it happened alot oh dear but thankfully not anymore!

Last night I was: at my Grandma and Grandad's with my family having Easter Sunday dinner :)

There’s this guy I know who: makes my dreams come true! ;)

Tomorrow I am: going back to college to stand around in my bra and knickers apparently as were doing body therapy, can't wait... not.

Tonight I am: going to attempt to sort my work out and be ready so I don't have to rush in the morning.

My birthday is: February 11th 1991.

Sweet Valley, Sweet Valley High

This wildfox lookbook takes me back to when I was younger and wanted so badly to want to experience and go to an American High School, with proms, homecoming everything just seemed so much better across the pond. With summer and the teen high school drama theme in mind, the production is all about that late 80′s, early 90′s vibe with pool parties, sleepovers, dance practice and all things summer in a teenager’s eyes and that ‘Sweet Valley’ vibe.

As always, Wildfox hits us with their bright statement tees that we know and love along with a lookbook that is purely about summer itself to compliment the collection.

Happiness is just around the corner...

Its gorgeous, its girlie, I want
Missguided.com

But which colour??
My faves are Cream, Navy or Beige

This is my favourite piece from H&M's new conscious collection
It is retailed at £29.99. Inspired by Kenza.se 20th birthday dress below, I wanted this dress as soon as I saw it and loved the pop of colour with the barbie pink heels, all it needs is a bright pink clutch to match. I think the tulip skirt is really flattering and girlie but it does seem quite short which I'm a little 'conscious' of my legs. It looks lovely on Kenza but it does help that she is beautiful! Yesterday I noticed they had all sizes in stock online and I've just checked now and there currently sold out of size 8 and 10. Nooo :( I hope I will be able to find it when I go shopping, I haven't seen it in the store though when I last went. Fingers crossed. I will be sure to let you know if I find the dress.

Beach Babe Ready

Hi Girls!
As we all know Summer is almost here and with the weather we've been having recently it has really motivated me to get running and think about what I'm putting into my body. I'll be honest, I have been soo lazy and like most of us I kept putting it off and saying I'll do it tomorrow even though I moan everyday about wanting to get into shape. I know this is probably really silly but I feel like I should of been getting into shape sooner this year and I've been feeling really insecure to wear shorts and dresses let alone get my bare arms out. So I'm trying to make a new start and not go on a fad diet but just make sure I have a healthy balanced diet and follow a few tips that I think are important (which I will share with you) and of course include some form of exercise. Hopefully I will start to see a difference as in June I have my Mums wedding and in August I'm going on holiday to Tenerife.

My tips for a healthy beach body

1. Try to give up something that you feel is not good for you (eg. sweets/processed foods/chocolate/white bread) for a certain amount of time.

2. Ask your friends/boyfriend/family to do it with you so you have support.

3. Drinking lots of water - your new best friend!

4. Green tea drink a big mug everyday, if its not your cup of tea try adding lemon or honey for extra flavour.
I found this really cool picture and it tells you all the benefits of drinking green tea :)

5. Getting your body moving try zumba, hot yoga, running outside, swimming, boxcerise, bicycling  anything :)

6. Make a food diary and a exercise calender, this will show you what your eating how much exercise your getting weekly.

7. Motivation - wear cute gym clothes, get some new music on your Ipod that reminds you of being on the beach and picture yourself how you'd like to look whilst exercising, chew sugar free gum to fight cravings and put ice in your drinks to help burn those calories.

Bikinis I'm loving for Summer

Seafolly do some really cute bikinis they can be quite overpriced and I'm in love with the pastel pink bikini below but it's so expensive. I'll always wonder why bikinis are sold for crazy prices. I think I'm definitely going to be purchasing the white bandeau as I have quite a big bust and most of the bandeau bikinis look like they don't have enough support for me and I could match lots of cute bikini bottoms with this. I love the VS bikinis but I don't fancy paying for the shipping to the UK, lucky Americans girls! haha.

I just been browsing on Abercrombie (dangerous, I know) and I came across this striped shirt and short shorts, I thought I'd post it on here as a little inspiration for next time I go shopping I think this outfit would look cute with a big bag and flip flops and of course a tan!

Please let me know if your doing anything towards getting beach ready for summer and have got any tips. Ooh and if you come across any cute bikinis and sundresses for summer let me know as I'm trying to get holiday things together each month. I hope the tips in this post could also help you and keep you motivated and always remember at the end of the day, its about being HEALTHY (not a skinny minnie) whatever that weight is for you. Don't compare yourself to other people, we are all individuals and are beautiful in our own way. Always do what is best for YOU!

Happy Friday Girlies and have a lovely weekend :)
Dannie
